Long Rake Spar has been supplying quality specialised decorative aggregates from its base in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District for over 140 years.

The company has diversified into many market sectors over the years with our Natural Selection Range of specialised decorative aggregates. Our Grantex dried aggregate range continues to grow and expand, to an extent that we are now the largest supplier to the resin surfacing industry in the UK. Our Eco Roc range of recycled materials is available for use within both of these sectors.

Our traditional strengths in providing specialised aggregates within the flooring and walling sectors of the construction industry have been maintained, which together with hard landscaping products are met through supplies to a nationwide selection of Landscapers, builder’s merchants, manufacturers and contractors.

Our on site batching and blending facilities have enabled us to expand further into the Green Roofing industry, offering a complete range of green roofing substrates to any specification.






The acquisition of Meadow View Stone in December 2009 has seen the company expand further into the Garden Centre Sector, which continues to see growth. Meadow View Stone are also the sole UK distributors of Richmoor Horticultural products to the independent garden centre sector. This wide spectrum of highly decorative hard landscaping products, complimented by an established range of horticultural composts, provides a wealth of choice and ordering flexibility at truly competitive prices.

The companies own quarries have enabled Long Rake and Meadow View Stone to provide a range of cost effective in house products as well as an extensive selection of established products sourced throughout the British Isles, Europe and the Far East. Our quarries, which are relatively small scale, due to their sensitive locations, will be launching a range of Dimensional Derbyshire Stone under the new Long Rake Stone brand.
